Are there any subsidies or rebates for a household that installs solar panels? Gabriola, British Columbia
Rebates are available for the purchasing of solar panels depending on where you live in Canada. Some provincial governments are offering rebates on various types of equipment that can help reduce energy consumption in your home. In British Columbia for example there is a provincial sales tax exemption when purchasing wind-powered generating equipment; solar photovoltaic collector panels; solar thermal collector panels; micro-hydro turbines and generators rated up to 150 kilowatts. Quebec and Ontario have similar programs. In fact there are many grants, rebates, discounts and other incentives available from the federal, provincial and some municipal governments that can help you use less energy, switch to renewable energy and produce less waste at home and on the road. Visit the Incentives and Rebates site today to find out more. Related EnviroZine Articles:
