Postal Program -- Return to sender
If you decide to return a mailed item to its sender, you can get a refund on any duty or tax you paid.
- Please note that Canada Post's $5 CAN handling fee will not be refunded.
To request a refund of duty and taxes, simply complete the back of Form E14, Customs Postal Import Form, and send it to the nearest Casual Refund Centres (also listed on the back of the form).
When you ask for a refund, you must show proof that you returned the goods.
- For instance, provide a credit note or a letter from the sender.
