Security

At the CRA, we use sophisticated security techniques to protect our site. Powerful encryption technology and security procedures protect your personal information at all times.

While every possible effort has been made to ensure the safety and integrity of transactions done through our Web site, please remember that the Internet exists as a public network and is therefore outside our control.

128-bit SSL encryption

Although some other Web sites will allow you access with 40-bit encryption, the CRA limits access to browsers supporting 128-bit secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption.

SSL protocol provides a secure channel for the transmission of personal information between your computer and our Web server. The SSL protocol uses encryption to enhance the privacy of information.

128-bit SSL encryption is a common requirement for Web-based services -- such as online banking or shopping -- where securing personal information is a priority.

When you submit an Online request, our server will verify your browser's encryption capability. No other information will be accessed.
