Pollution Prevention
Pollution prevention is about making smart choices in what we buy and how we use it. It's about looking at what causes waste and pollution and then figuring out the best ways to prevent it from happening.
Most of the electricity that we use in our homes is produced through polluting processes like fossil fuel combustion. Wind and solar energy are much better, less polluting alternatives.
Visit the Canadian Pollution Prevention Information Clearinghouse Youth Web site for great ideas to help you prevent pollution.

Find out which animals, plants and other living organisms are at risk in Canada unless actions are taken to ensure their survival. You can search for information by choosing either a map search, or a species search (by risk category, range, Latin name or common name).
