Become a NatureWatch citizen scientist this spring. You can participate on your own, with your friends, your family, your class or or even your whole school. Choose from one of the programs FrogWatch, PlantWatch and WormWatch or try all three. You will be asked to listen for frog calls during mating season in the springtime, record flowering times for selected plant species or dig a hole to identify the types and numbers of earthworms you find. Then report your findings to researchers through the Web sites or by mail.
|
How do they get here? Learn about different types of invaders and how they can become a problem. Play the bucket game and learn to differentiate between algae, mollusks, crustaceans and more! Design your own T-shirt or mobile about balance in an ecosystem!
