The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) would like to inform you of the following changes to the 2005 Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff, as contained in the T2005-3 Amendment Package.

• The Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 13 of the Customs Tariff, hereby makes the annexed Technical Amendments Regulations (Customs Tariff) 2005-1, SOR/2005-174 (Effective on June 2, 2005).
• Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 82 of the Customs Tariff, hereby makes the annexed Order Amending the Schedule to the Customs Tariff, 2005-2, P.C. 2005-1050, SOR/2005-166 (Effective on May 31, 2005).
• Pursuant to Supplementary Note 1* to Section XI of the Customs Tariff-Schedule and P.C. 1997-2003 - Regulations Respecting the Customs Duty Payable on Woollen Fabrics Originating in Commonwealth Countries (Effective on July 1, 2005 and ending on June 30, 2006).

A summary describing the status of each change is also included for your reference.

NOTE:
These changes will be reflected in the Customs Commercial System (CCS) and on the CBSA website on June 30, 2005. As for the Wool Rate changes, they will be available on July 1, 2005.
