Tariff Amendments

T2002-8

The attached package of amendments to the 2002 version of the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff reflects the following:

  • amendments made pursuant to the Order Amending the Schedule to the Customs Tariff, 2002-7, P.C. 2002-1709, SOR/2002-367 (various effective dates);
  • amendments to the statistical breakouts.

All amendments are identified by change bars.

A summary of changes describing the status of each change is also included for your reference.

NOTE:

  • amendments made pursuant to the Customs Duties Accelerated Reduction Order, No. 12, P.C. 2001-2282, SOR/2002-3, effective on January 1, 2002. All amendments are identified by change bars.

These amendments will be available in the Customs Commercial System (CCS) on January 14, 2002.

The attached package of amendments to the 2002 version of the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff reflects the following:

  • amendments made pursuant to the Order Amending the Schedule to the Customs Tariff, 2001-3 (Machinery), P.C. 2001-2010, SOR/2001-467 (various effective dates);
  • amendments made pursuant to the Order Amending the Schedule to the Customs Tariff, 2001-4, P.C. 2001-2135, SOR/2001-510, (various effective dates);
  • amendments to the Customs Tariff made pursuant to the Ways and Means Motion tabled in Parliament on November 1, 2001, on tobacco tax increases to discourage smoking; effective on November 2, 2001; and
  • amendments made to the statistical breakouts

All amendments are identified by change bars.
