Call for Abstracts
Submissions of abstracts related to the following themes are now invited:
- Field Study: Research results from intensive air
quality field studies and organizational strategies for conducting air
quality field studies.
- Air Quality in the North: Research and planning to
understand and manage the unique air quality issues faced in the north.
- Science and Technology: Modelling, monitoring and
forecasting of air quality processes.
- Outreach: Programs targeted at communication and
awareness of air quality issues to the public.
- Policy Making: Programs related to regulations, work
underway to revise, implement or develop new policies to improve air
quality.
- Health: Topics related to air quality effects on
ecosystems and human health.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the science committee and selected based
on the following criteria: quality and originality of research, scientific
content, and affinity with the theme and objective of the workshop. Accepted
abstracts will be scheduled as either an oral or poster presentation.
Abstracts will be published in the workshop proceedings.
How to Submit an
Abstract
The deadline for submissions is November 14, 2005. Abstracts are to be
submitted electronically to the science committee. Please read
the following instructions carefully before submitting an abstract.
To fit the theme of the meeting, abstracts should include the primary
question your research is working to answer.
Format of Submissions:
- Abstracts must be submitted electronically. The preferred file type
is plain text.
- The abstract heading must give (in the following order):
- Title
- Name(s) of author(s)
- Name of institution or affiliation
- Address
- Email address
- Abstracts can be submitted either by:
- Email to the science committee: science.aqw-aqa@ec.gc.ca,
subject line AQ2006 Abstract, with the abstract as an attached text
file
- Mail with the abstract as a text file on a 3.5" diskette or CD
and as a printed copy. CDs and diskettes will not be returned. Mail
to: AQ2006 Workshop Science Committee, c/o Bill Hume, Room 200 4999

Abstracts submitted by facsimile will not be accepted.
