National Strategies & Initiatives

The functions of the section is to provide cross commodity service on a broad range of activities such as the implementation of agency and division priority projects, work planning, financial and human resource management, audit management, information management, program support and administration.


Activities include:

  • implementing cross commodity, agency and division priority projects, e.g. identifying program research needs, developing strategies to deal with environmental pressures and future trends;

  • managing divisional activities in work planning, quarterly review, audit and training plans;

  • managing divisional financial and human resources;

  • developing and managing program information systems;

  • planning and organizing divisional, directorate, national and international meetings;

  • collecting a variety of data from multiple sources statistical reports are prepared for internal use by staff.
