Labelling and Advertising Decisions

PLEASE NOTE: The policy and regulatory decisions that follow are in accordance with the former regulations and policies regarding nutrition labelling, which are still in force until the end of the nutrition labelling amendments' transition period . The decisions still apply to products and labels which comply with these regulations.

These policy and regulatory decisions have not yet been reviewed with respect to the January 2003 Regulatory Amendments of the Food and Drug Regulations regarding Nutrition Labelling, Nutrition Claims and Health Claims. As such, they may not apply to those products and labels which comply with the January 2003 Regulatory Amendments. For details regarding the new regulations see Health Canada's web site  or the Canadian Food Inspection Website .
