This is a current list of materials and non-food chemicals which have been found by the CFIA to be acceptable for use in establishments operating under the authority of the Agency. The primary purpose of this publication is to provide a ready reference for both inspection personnel and representatives of the managerial staff of establishments, to indicate acceptance status for products intended for use in establishments.

The inclusion of the name of the product in this list is not to be construed as an endorsement for that product by the Agency. [More]

The CFIA does not distribute Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for products included in this list. To obtain MSDS sheets, you can contact the manufacturer of the products directly, or you can contact the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).

Please note: Users of this Agency consolidation are reminded that it is prepared for convenience of reference only and that, as such, it has no official sanction. For information and guidance, please contact Jack Donald, Program Officer, Hygienic Environment Program, Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
