Reporting to Parliament

Corporate Business Plan

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency Act requires that the Agency produce a Corporate Business Plan at least once every five years.

Departmental Performance Report

The Departmental Performance Report provides a focus on results-based accountability by reporting on accomplishments achieved against the performance expectations and results commitments as set out in the spring Report on Plans and Priorities.

Starting with the report for fiscal year 2004-05, the Agency will report on its performance exclusively in the Departmental Performance Report which includes all information previously available in the CFIA's annual reports.

Report on Plans and Priorities

Reports on Plans and Priorities (Part III) are individual expenditure plans for each department and agency (excluding Crown corporations) named in Schedules I, I.1 and II of the Financial Administration Act. They are tabled in Parliament by the President of the Treasury Board on behalf of the ministers who preside over these organizations.
