Acadian Peninsula
Economic Development Fund
In response to the long standing socio-economic problems on the Acadian Peninsula, the provincial government is extending its economic development initiative to a $40 million Acadian Peninsula Economic Development Fund (APEDF).
Under the management of the Regional Development Corporation, the purpose of the APEDF is to provide funding for economic and social development activities that are consistent with the objectives of a regional Action Plan. The Action Plan, which was developed by the community to guide the implementation of the APEDF, is a long-term initiative that identifies short, medium and long-term objectives to address the challenges facing the region.
