Edible poultry meat: as for any edible meat/meat
products, the procedure to follow can be found in the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's
(CFIA) Meat Hygiene Manual of
Procedures, chapter 11, section 11.5. http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/anima/meavia/mmopmmhv/mane.shtml.
Food of Animal Origin Division (FAOD) restrictions apply. |

Inedible poultry meat: please contact Canadian Food
Inspection Agency's (CFIA) Import Service Centres for guidance, Food of Animal Origin
Division restrictions apply. Please note that there are no restrictions if the inedible
meat is sent back directly to a rendering plant in Canada. |

3. |
All rendered products: case by case evaluation, needs a CFIA
animal health import permit. Please contact
CFIAs AHPD. The list of contact names can be found at:

Pet food: no animal health restrictions. |

Manure: |

a. |
Canadian manure in original sealed bags (unopened) may be allowed back into Canada. A
written declaration from the Canadian importer will be required as well as a copy of the
initial export documentation. The written declaration must state: only
Canadian manure in original sealed bags that have not been opened since departure from
Canada are being returned. |

b. |
For all other cases please contact CFIAs AHPD. |

Fertilizers and composted growing medium: no animal
health restrictions. |

Animal feed: no animal health restrictions. |

Eggs and egg products (edible and inedible) |

Please note that when it is indicated PLEASE
CONTACT CFIAS AHPD arrangements must be made BEFORE shipping back
products. * Copy of the initial export documentation must always be
provided at the time of importation into Canada. |
