FARM INCOME FORECAST UPDATE TO BE RELEASED

OTTAWA, February 16, 2005 - An update of the Federal-Provincial Farm Income Forecast figures for 2004-2005 will be available Thursday, February 17 on Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's (AAFC) Web site.

The forecasts will be available on-line at 12 p.m. (EDT). To view the forecasts, visit: http://www.agr.gc.ca/

AAFC officials will provide a technical briefing on the new figures via teleconference at 2 p.m. (EDT) Feb. 17. To participate in the teleconference, media should call 1 888 265-0903, and enter Passcode 161510 when prompted.
