Canada is internationally recognized for safe, high-quality agriculture and food products. In fact, Canada is the world’s third largest exporter of agriculture and food products.

Maintaining and enhancing that reputation is a key objective of the Agricultural Policy Framework (APF). In fact, our goal is to make Canada’s reputation as a leader in food safety and environmental standards a benchmark for the world.

To this end, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) is pursuing joint marketing strategies with industry to gain recognition for the quality of Canadian products and to further growth in targetted geographic markets. We are providing various services including export preparedness and counselling initiatives, market information and intelligence, and investment promotion.
