Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) chemist Jeff Van de Riet (right) explains his work to Chuck Strahl, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board, at the agency's Dartmouth laboratory.  During this lab visit on March 16, Minister Strahl took the opportunity to meet CFIA and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada staff.  Minister Strahl also visited Clearwater Seafood, a global leader in the harvesting, processing, and distribution of shellfish and groundfish, and met with Ron Chisholm, Nova Scotia Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.
