  • Guelph Food Technology Centre (GFTC) Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Training, British Columbia, June, September and October, 2006
    In partnership with the Alberta Food Processors Association (AFPA), the BC Food Processors Association, the Guelph Food Technology Centre (GFTC) is presenting HACCP training in British Columbia. The AFPA has a franchise agreement with GFTC to provide GFTC's proprietary and leading industry recognized technical training, auditing and certification services throughout Western Canada. The Guelph Food Technology Centre is Canada's largest HACCP training institute and offers internationally recognized BASICS, HACCP and Food Safety Systems, Food Quality Systems, Product Development, Production, and Sanitation and Microbiology courses.     Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, in cooperation with Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and Food Beverage Canada, is organizing a two day educational mission to Seattle. This program, geared to those with little or no previous exporting experience is an excellent opportunity for natural, organic and health food product manufacturers to be introduced to exporting and to explore the USA Pacific Northwest market first-hand. There will be presentations covering all aspects of exporting to this market, from customs brokers to regulations to marketing as well as visits to several retailers in the Seattle area. Participants will also have the opportunity to view the Natural Products Northwest 2006 trade show.
