![]() Exhibit in the Canada Pavilion at the 12TH GULF FOOD, HOTEL & EQUIPMENT EXHIBITION (GULFOOD) February 19-22, 2007 Dear Canadian Exporter: Canadian food and beverage products will take centre stage at the Canada Pavilion at this year's Gulf Food, Hotel and Equipment Exhibition (Gulfood) at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), February 19 22, 2007.
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) and the Canadian Consulate in Dubai are pleased to invite you to join your fellow exporters to showcase Canadian quality, innovation and great taste at the Canada Pavilion. The 2006 show featured over 2,173 companies participating from 70 countries. More than 32,000 importers, distributors, manufacturers, retailers and representatives from the hospitality industry visited Gulfood in 2006. Dubai is the world's third largest re-exporter - 72% of imports from all sectors are re exported to 160 countries. In addition, the hospitality sector is undergoing rapid growth. Fifty new 5-star hotels will be operating in the UAE by 2010, with over 18,000 new rooms in Dubai alone. A growing market for Western-style food products with a dependence on imported foodstuffs makes this region a very attractive market for Canadian agri-food and agriculture companies. The UAE currently imports over $3 billion in food imports annually. This year's Canada pavilion promises to bring together an excellent selection of the best that Canada has to offer in the food and beverage industry. The pavilion builds on the new Canada brand by highlighting the qualities that draw buyers and consumers to Canadian products – our pristine and beautiful land, scientific innovation, quality products and concern for the environment. Our new and exciting pavilion design integrates the "Quality is in our nature" theme through a clean and uncluttered design. AAFC has reserved 330 m2 for the Canada pavilion. Come join us and reap the rewards of flying under the Canada flag – high traffic and visibility, market information and intelligence, key buyer invitations, inclusion in the Canadian exhibitor pamphlet, a Canadian reception for local buyers and exhibitors, and on-site business and trade promotion support. The all-inclusive fee for a standard 9 sqm booth in the Canada pavilion is CDN $6,500 or a corner booth for CDN $7,000, which includes: Complete turn key booth packages 1. a) exhibit space; 2. All standard exhibitor offerings, including an individual company listing in the official show directory. 3. Additional services for companies exhibiting in the Canada pavilion include trade counseling and market intelligence, pre-show publicity and media relation activities, a business reception, meeting facilities, chef demonstrations, on-site exhibitor support plus liaison assistance with show authorities and more. Don't miss this special opportunity to show the world of Dubai that "Quality is in our nature". Booth space is allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Register online and return the original registration form along with a cheque payable to the "Receiver General for Canada". Please send all materials to Judith Gaw no later than December 2, 2006.
