Agri-Food Trade Service

The mandate of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is to support agricultural productivity and trade in an industry that recorded exports of $26.2 billion in 2005. In keeping with this mandate, the Agri-Food Trade Service (ATS) was established to support various agriculture and agri-food sector clients, including Canadian food exporters.

The ATS web site is Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s response to a competitive industry’s need for market information covering issues from market opportunities and trade regulations to exporter assistance opportunities. The site promotes the Canadian agricultural sectors enviable ability to compete on the world stage, while enhancing confidence and continued expansion in the industry.

By gathering and disseminating valuable trade and market information, ATS provides exporters, buyers and investors with centralized access to pertinent information that attends to clients at all stages of business. In addition to the ATS website, the Agri-Food Trade Service also includes regional office locations responsible for providing face to face support and access to all of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s export related programs and services. These regional offices are a direct extension of the ATS website and its overall effort to promote sector growth.
