PFRA TABLE OF RATES
LAND USE LICENSES AND PERMITS

Effective: April 01, 2003

This table of rates is applicable to uses of PFRA facilities and PFRA owned or controlled lands where rates are established under the PFR Act. Specifically excluded are PFRA Community Pasture Fees. The rates are to be applied to all Canada owned land and to provincially owned land where applicable. Rates marked with an asterisk (*) are not to be applied to provincially owned land. Except for Right-of-Entry rates No. 4 (Seismic) and No. 6 (Resource Prospecting), all Right-of-Entry rates are subject to G.S.T.

Licenses – to Occupy Crown (PFRA) Lands Rate
*1. Annual rate for grazing (fixed rate for five years) The greater of $10.00 per AUM or $25.00/year
*2. Annual rate for forage or cereal production (fixed rate for five years) Negotiated – but not less than $25.00/year
*3. Annual rate for other purposes (fixed rate for five years)Negotiated
 4. Annual Rate for Operation of Overhead or Underground Utilities.
*a) Commercial Service (primarily for petroleum well sites)$50.00/quarter section affected (5 year term)
*b) Rural electrical, water, or gas distribution to farm sites or community pasture headquarters $1.00/license
Note: Easements for items (a) and (b) and all right-of-way for Electrical, Water or Gas transmission are subject to rates set by the Federal Real Property Act.
5. Licence Rate for gravel extraction (5 year term)

*Private individuals and corporations and Public agencies such as cities, towns, villages, rural municipalities, school districts, hospitals, churches, charitable organizations, etc

Refer to Right of Entry paragraph 7 for Provincial lands
$0.76 per cubic yard ($1.00/M3) plus $100.00 per acre / $40.00 ha (min. 1 acre max. Site size 20 acres / 8 ha).
6. Assignment for License, Lease or Easement Changes.$200.00

Right of Entry - Permits

1. Removal of wood from PFRA Lands. 
(a)  Personal use:
(i) Fuelwood – (deadwood general use ROE)

(b) Other Personal/Private Use (other than deadwood)

(Applicable to all the following including Provincial lands)

2. Social or Recreational Purposes 
(a) Individual entry for social or recreational purposesNo charge

(c) Snowmobile access 
(i) Weekend/Daily entry (i.e. Poker derby, 1 day trail ride) 
(ii) Season Access ( Dec 15 - Mar 31) $50.00 Basin season rate plus $1.00 per km Trail charge within pasture boundary.

3. Group entry for sponsored sporting competitions or events$75.00
4. Seismographic 
(a) Commercial entry for 2 dimensional seismographic surveys$700.00 per mile ($435.00/km) of shot line but not less than $150.00
(b)Commercial entry for 3 dimensional seismographic surveys$700.00 per mile ($435.00/km) of shot line plus $300.00 per mile.
($186.45/km) of receiver line, but not less than $150.00
(c)Access to seismic lines$300.00 per mile ($186.45/km)
5. Petroleum 
(a) Commercial entry for surveys (i.e. pipeline/flowline surveys but not including well site surveys) $100.00 per pipeline/flowline
(b) Commercial entry for well site investigation (legal & environmental surveys) $100.00 per well site
(c) Commercial entry for wellsite construction $100.00 per well site
(d) Commercial entry for pipeline/flowline construction $100.00 per pipeline/flowline
6. Commercial entry for resource prospecting (non-consumptive)$100.00
7. Commercial entry for gravel removal from provincial lands (Administration fee)$75.00
8. Commercial or government entry for constructing domestic power lines, gas lines, and telephone lines$150.00 plus loss of production on affected land.
9. Entry for other approved non social or non recreational activities which are not specifically identified in 1. to 8. above. (ie "for profit" motives or purposes)Negotiated with $10.00 minimum
10. Right of entry on provincial lands (pipelines, flowlines, powerlines, etc)$150.00 (admin. fee) plus loss of production on affected land
11. Temporary workspace independent of any other application$150.00 (admin.fee) plus loss of production on affected land

Access to Water Source - Permit

1. Intermittent or one-time service charges for provisions of access to water from storage and distribution works located on PFRA lands.
(a) For oil field and construction purposes $1,000.00 per well or project
(b) For domestic and stock water purposes No charge
