MINISTER STRAHL TO TOUR THE PACIFIC AGRI-FOOD RESEARCH CENTRE IN AGASSIZ

Ottawa, March 8, 2006 - Federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board Chuck Strahl will be in Abbotsford on Thursday, March 9 to meet with industry leaders. After this meeting, Minister Strahl will travel to Agassiz to visit the Pacific Agri-Food Research Centre. Media are invited to join the Minister on a tour of the centre's facilities. Following the tour, the Minister will be available to speak to media.
