Several items must be included with your application for it to be approved. Here is a check list to ensure you have all the items:

A proposal of the plan that will be developed

Your consultant will prepare and sign a proposal which will outline the type of plan you will undertake (e.g. feasibility assessment or business plan), and which will include the elements which the plan will cover. You should be familiar with this proposal before signing it.

Please read some tips which can help you ensure your consultant will prepare a proposal that you are comfortable with and that includes all the required elements of the program.

The proposal your consultant prepares must meet certain required elements of the Planning and Assessment for Value-Added Enterprises program. Please read the Preparing the Proposal and Elements of your Plan page. It will help you ensure your consultant will prepares a proposal that you are comfortable with and that includes all the required elements of the program.

Your consultant's resumé, including details and documentation on the following:

  • membership in good standing of recognized professional organization OR proof of related post-secondary education and completion of a course on ethics and professionalism (an interactive, online Professional and Ethics Course is now available);
  • experience in preparing feasibility assessments or business plans; and
  • minimum of two references from previous clients who can endorse past similar work.

The Conflict of Interest Declaration signed by your consultant.
