The Canadian Food Safety and Quality ProgramThe Canadian Food Safety and Quality Program will maintain and enhance Canada's reputation as a producer of safe, high-quality food products. It is a key part of the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Agricultural Policy Framework - a five year plan to help the agriculture and agri-food sector manage its risks and meet the demands of the marketplace in order to be more competitive and profitable. Fostering confidence in the safety and quality of Canadian food is recognized as critical in ensuring the strength of the agriculture and agri-food sector over the long term.
