Saskatchewan is in the process of establishing a network of ecologically important land and water areas across the province. This system incorporates all of the unique features, landscapes and resources already being managed as parks, ecological reserves, wildlife lands and other reserves. New sites are selected to complement existing sites and ensure that the wide range of Saskatchewan's natural features and diversity is represented within the network.

Concept Management Plans
For the past number of years the Representative Areas Network has progressed with designation of sites as Representative Area Ecological Reserves and in the case of the far north of Saskatchewan, three Special Management Areas.  The following links provides information on each of the designated sites, acceptable uses, prohibited uses and a general map of each of the areas.  To view these files, you need to have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Viewer, freely available from Adobe.
