Pro J & R Feeds Fined $10,000 for Violating the Feeds Act

On March 3, 2006, Pro J & R Feeds entered guilty pleas on two counts of violating the Feeds Act in provincial court in Lethbridge, Alta.

Pro J & R Feeds was fined $10,000 for improperly labelling and selling an unregistered feed product as per the Feeds Act.

The CFIA is responsible for enforcing a variety of federal legislation including the Feeds Act and its regulations. It protects consumers by contributing to food safety, the protection of plants and the health of animals in Canada.
