1187492 Ontario Ltd / Mankey Trading Inc. fined $5,000

On October 24, 2005, Mankey Trading Inc. was found guilty of one charge for violating the Meat Inspection Act.

On October 1, 2003, Mankey Trading Inc. sent from one province to another meat products that had not been prepared or stored in a registered establishment operated in accordance with paragraph 8(a) of the Meat Inspection Act, R.S.,1985, c.25 (1st Supp).

Justice Auger of the Court of Quebec fined the company $5,000 without costs, ordered this amount to be paid immediately, and confiscated the seized goods. The decision was handed down at the Gatineau Courthouse on October 24, 2005.
