UPDATE - ALLERGY ALERTUNDECLARED MILK PROTEIN IN COFFEEKING AMERICAN FLAVOUR 3 IN 1 COFFEEMIXList of imported products that contain undeclared milk protein OTTAWA, July 24, 2006 - The public warning issued on July 21, 2006 had been expanded to include additional information on product and distribution. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to milk not to consume the Coffeeking American Flavour 3 in 1 Coffeemix described below. The affected product contains milk protein which is not declared on the label. The affected product, Coffeeking American Flavour 3 in 1 Coffeemix, manufactured by Super Coffeemix Manufacturing Ltd, a product of Singapore, is sold in packages of 600 g containing 30 x 20 g individual sachets. The 600 g package bears the UPC 8 888240 000170 and the individual 20 g sachet bears the UPC 8 888240 000309. All codes are affected by this alert. This product has been distributed in British Columbia and Alberta. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product. Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk protein. The importer is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
