Clean AirIssue:Primary emissions by agriculture, which may affect air quality are particulate matter, odour, methane and nitrous oxide. These emissions can also affect human health and contribute to global climate change. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, PFRA ActivitiesAAFC's goal is to identify and facilitate the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices that can help reduce air emissions, such as proper livestock feeding and manure management practices . Please visit the Environment Bureau for more information about how agriculture affects air quality and the department's activities in this area.
