The attached are noteworthy among other changes to the CMIB 8th Edition.  These changes are summarized as follows:

MIB # 10.2 - Zinc bacitracin
Added one new brand called ALBAC 110P ZINC BACITRACIN PREMIX (Alpharma Canada Corporation).

MIB # 10.5 - Lincomycin
Pfizer Canada Inc. is the new sponsor for LINCOMIX 44 PREMIX and LINCOMIX 110 PREMIX.
Deleted one brand called LINCOMIX 8.8 PREMIX 8.8 PREMIX (Pharmacia Animal Health).

MIB # 37A - Zinc bacitracin
Added one new brand called ALBAC 110P ZINC BACITRACIN PREMIX (Alpharma Canada Corporation).

MIB # 43 - Tylosin Phosphate
Change in company name for Promolas Liquid Supplement Suspension, from United Molasses Company, A Div. of Tate & Lyle to Westway Feed Products, A Division of  Westway Holdings Canada Inc.

MIB # 48 - Bacitracin methylene disalicylate
Bacitracin methylene disalicylate is compatible with NARASIN (MIB # 73) for use in feeds for broiler chickens.

MIB # 57 - Monensin Sodium
Added 3 new claims for COBAN and RUMENSIN PREMIXES only:
Claim 6:  For reduction of milk fat percentage in lactating dairy cows.
Claim 7:  For minimizing loss of body condition during lactation in dairy cows.
Claim 8:  For improving feed efficiency of milk protein production in lactating dairy cows.

MIB# 62- Lincomycin and Spectinomycin

MIB # 66- Lasalocid Sodium
Added the following mineral to the list of approved medicated minerals under claim # 4:
(i) Kenpal Pasture Cattle Mineral with Bovatec, Kenpal Farm Products Inc.

MIB # 68- Lincomycin
Pfizer Animal Health is the new sponsor for LINCOMIX 44 PREMIX and LINCOMIX 110 PREMIX
(i) Deleted one brand called LINCOMIX 8.8 PREMIX (Pharmacia Animal Health).
(ii) Change in withdrawal period (from 2 days to 1-day) for feeds containing LINCOMIX 110 at drug level of 220 mg/kg of complete feed.
(iii) Change in withdrawal period (from 1 day to 0-days) for feeds containing LINCOMIX 110 at drug level of 110 mg/kg of complete feed.
Added new claim: As an aid in reducing the clinical severity of Porcine Proliferative Enteritis associated with Lawsonia intracellularis.

MIB #69 - Salinomycin Sodium
Added one new brand called BIO-COX 120 G PLUS PREMIX (Alpharma Canada Corporation).

MIB # 73 - Narasin
Narasin is compatible with BACITRACIN METHYLENE DISALICYLATE (MIB # 48) for use in feeds for broiler chickens.

MIB # 78 - Ivermectin
Added one new brand called ULTRAMECTRIN PREMIX FOR SWINE (Merial Canada, Incorporated).

MIB # 81 - Nitarsone
Addition of one new drug HISTOSTAT 50 for use in feeds for turkeys (Alpharma Canada Corporation).

MIB # 82 - Ractopamine hydrochloride
Addition of one new drug Ractopamine hydrochloride (PAYLEAN 20 PREMIX and PAYLEAN 100 PREMIX) for use in swine feeds (Elanco).
