Employment Insurance (EI) Monitoring and Assessment Reports

2005
The 2005 Employment Insurance Monitoring and Assessment Report focuses on the period April 1, 2004 to March 31, 2005. The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, tabled the report in Parliament on April 28th, 2006. The report, prepared by the Canada Employment Insurance Commission, monitors and assesses the impacts of the Employment Insurance system on the economy, communities and individuals.

2004
The 2004 Employment Insurance Monitoring and Assessment Report focuses on the period April 1, 2003 to March 31, 2004. The Honourable Lucienne Robillard, President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, tabled the report in Parliament on May 13th, 2005. The report, prepared by the Canada Employment Insurance Commission, monitors and assesses the impacts of the Employment Insurance system on the economy, communities and individuals.

2003
The 2003 Employment Insurance Monitoring and Assessment Report focuses on the period April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003. The Honourable Joseph Volpe, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, tabled the report in Parliament on April 27, 2004. The report, prepared by the Canada Employment Insurance Commission, monitors and assesses the impacts of the Employment Insurance system on the economy, communities and individuals.

2002
This is the sixth Employment Insurance Monitoring and Assessment Report and it focuses on the period April 1, 2001 to March 31, 2002. The Honourable Jane Stewart, Minister of Human Resources Development Canada (now Human Resources and Skills Development Canada), tabled the reported in Parliament on April 30, 2003. The report, prepared by the Canada Employment Insurance Commission, monitors and assesses the impacts of the Employment Insurance system on the economy, communities and individuals.

2001
This is the fifth Employment Insurance Monitoring and Assessment report and it focuses on the period April 1, 2000 to March 31, 2001, the fourth full fiscal year that the Employment Insurance system has been in place.

2000
The 2000 Employment Insurance Monitoring and Assessment Report, the fourth in a series of annual reports on Canada’s Employment Insurance (EI) program, was tabled in Parliament on February 5, 2001 by the Honourable Jane Stewart, Minister of Human Resources Development Canada (now Human Resources and Skills Development Canada). The report, prepared by the Canada Employment Insurance Commission, monitors and assesses the impacts of the Employment Insurance system on the economy, communities and individual workers

1999
This is the third in a series of five annual reports by the Canada Employment Insurance Commission to be tabled in Parliament for the years 1997 to 2001 by the Minister of of Human Resources Development Canada (now Human Resources and Skills Development Canada). This third report focuses on the period April 1, 1998 to March 31, 1999 - the second full fiscal year the Employment Insurance system was in place - and presents a detailed analysis of what is known so far about the impact of EI reform.

1998
This is the second in a series of five annual reports presented by the Canada Employment Insurance Commission on the impacts of the Employment Insurance (EI) reforms introduced in July 1996 and January 1997.

1997
The "1997 Employment Insurance Monitoring and Assessment Report"  is the first in a series of five annual reports to be submitted to the Minister of Human Resources Development Canada (now Human Resources and Skills Development Canada) by the Canada Employment Insurance Commission. It provides preliminary information to assist in assessing the  degree to which individuals, communities and the economy are adjusting to the new Employment Insurance (EI) program.
