Instructions on How to Fill Out the Productive Capacity Information Sheet for B.C. Apple Growers

This Productive Capacity Information Sheet must be filled out by all B.C. Apple Producers who are new participants to the CAIS program. Producers who submitted this sheet for their 2003 CAIS application will not have to re-submit the Productive Capacity Information Sheet for 2004.

For 2004: enter the acres of apple trees in the appropriate category based on age and density.

For 1999 to 2003: you have two options for providing the historical information:

a) Enter the acres of apple trees for each year in the appropriate category based on age and density. This option provides the most accurate information and would be the recommended method.

OR:

b) Enter the total acres of apple trees for each year on line code 5094 Apples, 5+ years of fruit production. If you use this option, we will measure each reference year at the maximum productive units.

Note: When filling out your 2004 production information on the Crop Inventory page of the application (pg 2) you must use the following codes:

  • 5087 Apples, Non-Bearing (will only need to report acreage)
  • 5088 Apples, 1st year of fruit production, low density
  • 5089 Apples, 1st year of fruit production, medium density
  • 5090 Apples, 1st year of fruit production, high density
  • 5091 Apples, 2nd to 4th year of fruit production, low density
  • 5092 Apples, 2nd to 4th year of fruit production, medium density
  • 5093 Apples, 2nd to 4th year of fruit production, high density
  • 5094 Apples, 5+ years of fruit production

Please complete the Productive Capacity Information Sheet and include it when submitting your 2004 CAIS Supplementary Application to the CAIS Administration. If you have already submitted your 2004 CAIS Supplementary Application, submit the Productive Capacity Information Sheet to the CAIS Administration by the application deadline of September 30, 2005. This will allow the Administration to process your claim more quickly. Please ensure you include your name and PIN at the top of the Productive Capacity Information Sheet and send to:
