2006 CAIS Corporation/Co-operative and Special Individual Harmonized Form

Improving CAIS program delivery is a high priority for federal, provincial, and territorial governments. To simplify the application process, the CAIS Administration has simplified the 2006 harmonized form and significantly reduced the amount of information participants need to provide.

When will the harmonized form be available for corporations, co-operatives and special individuals?
The 2006 CAIS Corporation, Co-operative and Special Individual Harmonized Form was released on November 20, 2006. The harmonized form is available where CAIS is delivered federally: the Yukon Territory, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador. Producers in other provinces should contact their provincial CAIS Administration for information on forms availability.

When can I apply if my operation has a non-calendar year end?
Once you have completed your operation’s fiscal year and are eligible to file your income tax to CRA, you can apply.

Will the form packages be sent to me?
Yes. Form packages will be sent to all producers who selected a protection level for the 2006 program year. Producers with a fiscal year ending between January 1 and August 31 will be mailed a form package in December. All other producers will receive their form package approximately two months after their fiscal year end.
