Technical AssistanceTechnical Assistance Component ObjectiveThe objective of the Technical Assistance Component is to provide technical assistance and technical transfer tools to accelerate the adoption of beneficial management practices for the sustainable use and management of pasture, hayland, critical/riparian areas and shelterbelts on the agricultural landscape. The component will enhance program delivery mechanisms for technology transfer to groups and individuals through the provision of technical expertise and financial support to develop extension tools. Who can participate?Eligible applicants include incorporated non-profit organizations, incorporated environmental groups, educational institutions, co-operatives, corporations, provincial governments or agencies of these governments, and provincial Crown corporations. What financial assistance is available?All proposals undergo a screening and rating process by a review team to ensure funds are directed to projects that best meet the program objectives and principles. Project funding of up to 100% of eligible costs may be provided under the program. How do the Technical Assistance Component and Regional Technical Assistance Component Differ?Both components have the same objectives and priorities under the Greencover Canada initiative. The Technical Assistance Component is specific to projects within a single province whereas the Regional Technical Assistance Component will consider proposals where the scope of the project encompasses two or more provinces.
