The Alberta Centennial Education Savings Plan
The Alberta Centennial Education Savings Plan is designed to help Alberta parents start planning and saving for their children’s education after high school. Under the plan, the Government of Alberta will deposit $500 in a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for every child born to, or adopted by, Alberta residents in 2005 and after. Starting in 2013, additional grants of $100 will be available at ages 8, 11 and 14 for children attending school in Alberta.
