Marine synopsis for Newfoundland issued by Environment Canada at
8.00 PM NST Saturday 9 December 2006.
The next scheduled synopsis will be issued at 3.00 AM.

  An intense low pressure system near the southern tip of Greenland 
will continue to move northeastward away from the marine district 
tonight.  Meanwhile a ridge of high pressure will move across the 
southern Grand Banks tonight to lie east of the district by Sunday 
morning.  Gale to storm force westerlies over northeastern waters 
associated with the low diminish to moderate to strong westerlies 
elsewhere.
  On Sunday a trough of low pressure approaching from Québec will 
spread strong to gale force southwesterlies over all waters.

  Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is continued for 
Belle Isle Bank.  Gale warnings are continued for all remaining 
waters except the southern Grand Banks.
  Freezing spray warnings are continued for Belle Isle..East coast
North of Cape St Francis..Northeast coast and the Belle Isle Bank.
