- Appreciate the impact of waste in communities
- Understand how disposable or single-use items are much less environmentally-friendly than more durable or longer lasting products
- Increase their logical and/or organizational skills be developing a classification system
Materials
- Video from a local library, TV/VCR
- Copy of scavenger hunt list for each student
- Construction paper or newsprint
- Glue or tape
- Markers or crayons
- Pens or pencils
