• Appreciate the impact of waste in communities
• Understand how disposable or single-use items are much less environmentally-friendly than more durable or longer lasting products
• Increase their logical and/or organizational skills be developing a classification system

Materials

• Video from a local library, TV/VCR
• Copy of scavenger hunt list for each student
• Construction paper or newsprint
• Glue or tape
• Markers or crayons
• Pens or pencils
