The Agri-Food Policy Framework - Environment

Working together under the Agricultural Policy Framework, governments and industry are looking to accelerate efforts to reduce agricultural risks and explore environmental opportunities.

The environment chapter of the APF has programs that help AAFC and the industry do a better job of:

  • Achieving meaningful and measurable improvements in soil, water, air quality and the industry's impact on biodiversity;
  • Researching and developing new on-farm beneficial management practices, and
  • Making environmental information available for better land use planning and management.
