Recreational Vehicles and Engines - Snowmobiles, ATVs, Personal Watercraft and Outboard Engines

Emission regulations are being developed for marine engines and off-road recreational vehicles, such as outboard engines (OB), personal watercraft engines (PWC), snowmobiles, off-road motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility vehicles.

The planned Marine Spark-Ignition Engine and Off-Road Recreational Vehicle Emission Regulations will establish standards for smog forming emissions for the above vehicles and engines of the 2008 and later model year that are sold in Canada.

For more information concerning these planned regulations, please visit: http://www.ec.gc.ca/ceparegistry/documents/part/mar_ssi/cover.cfm
