Revised marine forecasts for the Great Lakes and the Ontario portion
of the st. Lawrence river issued by Environment Canada Ontario region 
at 6:58 PM EST Sunday 10 December 2006 for the period ending at
6.30 PM Monday with an outlook for the following 24 hours.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 3.00 AM Monday.

Winds are for mid lake.  Wave heights are for offshore and are 
forecast from trough to crest.  Nearshore winds and waves may vary 
considerably due to shoreline effects.

Lake St Clair.
Wind southwest 20 knots diminishing to 10 Monday morning then backing 
to south Monday afternoon. Scattered showers developing early this 
evening and ending later this evening then chance of a shower.
Waves 1 metre or less.
Outlook..Light southerlies backing to moderate southeasterlies then 
increasing to strong.

Western Lake Erie.
Wind southwest 20 knots diminishing to 15 overnight and to 10 Monday 
morning. Isolated showers developing early this evening and ending 
later this evening then chance of a shower. Waves near 1 metre 
lowering to less than 1 Monday afternoon.
Outlook..Light southwesterlies backing to southeasterlies then 
increasing to strong.

Note..The small craft warning program is active from May 01 to 
October 31.

Winds are for mid lake.  Wave heights are for offshore and are 
forecast from trough to crest.  Nearshore winds and waves may vary

Western Lake Superior.
Wind northeast 10 knots increasing to 20 this evening then veering to 
east near midnight. Wind further veering to southeast Monday 
afternoon. Fair. Waves 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 this 
evening.
Outlook..Strong southeasterlies diminishing to moderate southerlies.

Eastern Lake Superior.
Wind east 10 knots increasing to northeast 15 this evening and to 20 
early Monday morning. Wind veering to east Monday near noon. Fair. 
Waves 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 Monday morning.
Outlook..Strong easterlies veering to southeasterlies.

Whitefish bay.
Wind south 10 knots backing to southeast overnight then increasing to 
20 Monday afternoon. Fair. Waves less than 1 metre.
Outlook..Strong southeasterlies.

Northern Lake Huron.
Wind southwest 15 knots diminishing to 10 Monday morning then backing 
to southeast Monday afternoon. Isolated showers becoming scattered 
this evening and ending early Monday morning then chance of a shower. 
Waves near 1 metre lowering to less than 1 overnight.
Outlook..Light southeasterlies increasing to strong.

Southern Lake Huron.
Wind southwest 20 knots diminishing to 15 overnight and to south
10 Monday afternoon. Chance of a shower becoming scattered showers 
this evening and ending early Monday morning then chance of a shower. 
Waves 1 to 2 metres lowering to less than 1 Monday morning.
Outlook..Light southerlies increasing to strong southeasterlies.

Northern Georgian Bay.
Wind southwest 15 knots diminishing to light and variable early 
Monday morning then increasing to east 15 Monday afternoon. Fair. 
Scattered showers developing this evening and ending Monday morning 
then chance of a shower. Waves 1 metre or less.
Outlook..Moderate easterlies veering to southeasterlies then 
increasing to strong.

Southern Georgian Bay.
Wind southwest 15 knots diminishing to 10 Monday morning then backing 
to south Monday afternoon. Fair. Scattered showers developing this 
evening and ending Monday morning then chance of a shower. Waves 1 
metre or less.
Outlook..Light southerlies increasing to strong southeasterlies.

overnight otherwise fair. Waves 1 metre or less.

Lake Ontario.
Wind west 15 knots increasing to 20 this evening then diminishing to 
15 Monday morning. Wind becoming light and variable Monday afternoon. 
Chance of a shower beginning overnight. Isolated showers overnight 
and Monday morning. Waves near 2 metres lowering to near 1 Monday 
morning and to less than 1 Monday afternoon.
Outlook..Light and variable becoming southeasterlies then increasing 
to strong.

Kingston to Cornwall.
Wind southwest 10 knots becoming variable Monday afternoon. Fair then 
chance of a shower beginning this evening. Scattered showers or wet 
flurries overnight and Monday morning.
Outlook..Light and variable becoming southeasterlies then increasing 
to strong.

ridge average pressure 1028 MB through high.  1008 MB low over South
Dakota with trough average pressure 1010 MB extending northeast from 
low through Lake Superior to central Québec.  1028 MB high south of

  By 6.30 PM Monday..Broad 1040 MB high over eastern Québec with 
ridge average pressure 1034 MB extending south from high to Virginia. 
1010 MB low over Kansas with north to south trough average pressure
