Marine synopsis for the Maritimes issued by Environment Canada
At 8.00 PM AST Sunday 10 December 2006.

  A cold front approaching from Québec will make its way across the 
region tonight to lie southeast of the marine district by Monday 
evening.  Strong to gale force west to southwesterlies over most 
waters ahead of the front shift to strong to gale force 
northwesterlies behind it.
  A ridge of high pressure building from the west will move over 
western maritime waters late Tuesday.  Winds will diminish to 
moderate to strong northerlies over eastern waters and to light
Over western waters on Tuesday as the ridge approaches.

  Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are continued for
Banquereau..Laurentian fan..Cabot strait and Anticosti.  A freezing 
spray warning is continued for Anticosti.
