Filing on Magnetic Media

Features of the Magnetic Media Filing system

The system uses eXtensible Markup Language (XML) as the standard record format.

The system will:

  • process information returns filed on diskette, CD-ROM or DVD-ROM in XML format;
  • process amended slips filed on diskette, CD-ROM or DVD-ROM in XML format;
  • accept correct returns within a submission and reject those that are missing information or that contain incorrect information; and
  • accept multiple form types within the same submission.
