Agri-Food Trade Policy Online : This site provides links to a variety of existing information on the Internet related to agriculture and agri-food market access and trade policy information. This includes the texts of trade agreements, web sites of international organizations, information on Canada's trade policy, information on priority markets for Canadian agri-food exports, information on relevant subjects such as Canada's Agreement on Internal Trade, investment and trade and the environment.

Agri-Food Trade Service: Contains information on market opportunities, country and market reports, trade rules, Canadian supply capability, trade shows, a database of foreign buyers and federal government trade contacts.

Agri-Food Trade Service - Regional Offices: The regional offices are responsible for providing single-window access for regional clients and stakeholders to all of the Market and Industry Services Branch's programs and services, as well as some services from other branches and departments.

Dairy Industry: The dairy sector is an important part of the Canadian agri-food economy since it is the 2nd largest in the food processing sector. Dairy farm cash receipts for 1996 represented $3.69 billion. Sales from Canadian dairy processors totaled $7.5 billion in 1996, accounting for 13.7% of all processing sales in the Canadian food and beverage industry. Fish & Seafood Online: In the Government of Canada, the responsibility for the fish and seafood industry is split between the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) which manages the production end of the business (that is, fish -- whether wild or farmed -- when they are in the water) and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) which provides export market-development support for a wide variety of Canada’s food and beverage products, including fish and seafood.

Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals: Industry and market information and links; strategy-development initiatives and discussion papers; links to research, policy and regulatory initiatives.

Horticulture: Detailed situation and trend analysis are available for the following horticulture crop sectors: potatoes, vegetables, fruits, floriculture, nursery & sod, Christmas trees and honey.

InfoHort: InfoHort is an information collection that is designed to provide the most current and accurate markets information on horticultural commodities. Its objective is to provide all components of the horticultural industry with the necessary information to make informed decisions.

Market Analysis: The Market Analysis Division provides timely market information, analysis and forecasting of supply, demand, trade and prices for the domestic and international grains, oilseeds, pulse and special crops sectors to industry and governments.

Markets Information: Contains links to various MISB initiatives designed to support Canadian agriculture and agri-food industry activities in the areas of market access and market development.

Poultry Market: This site contains information related to weekly and annual poultry and egg market information, historical trends, trade data and import permits, factsheets and publications, press clippings, federally registered plants and stations, industry associations, links to numerous poultry and egg websites, as well as a search utility.

Red Meats Information: Provides livestock and red meat prices, market volumes, imports and exports on a regional and national basis through daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports.

Special Crops Information: For the purposes of this report, "special crops" are a diverse group including lentils, canary seed, buckwheat, sunflower seed, forages and ginseng. It is a catch all category for those crops not counted in horticultural crops and the major grains and oilseeds.
