- Abstract:
- The PFRA Sub-basin delineation of the PFRA Watersheds Project is based upon the Environment Canada gauging stations. This coverage was created to replace the ws_maj33 coverage that was included in Version 2. There are now 38 Major Watershed basins. These are small-scale (roughly 1:250K) watersheds covering the data extent.
Purpose:
- To supply the thematic layer of PFRA sub-basins of the PFRA Watershed Project for hydroligic analyses and mapping in watershed management across the Canadian prairies. This coverage was created to replace Version 2's ws_maj33 coverage. Its attribute sub_pf will allow for proper naming of the PFRA sub-basins.
