Acts and Regulations

Labelling & Marking Standards:

Name of the country of origin, names and addresses of the manufacturer or exporter, and the Cuban importer must be shown on the package.

Weights and measures must be in metric units.

None specified.

Certification Requirements

Certificate of Quality Grading (FP 1406 (11/91)) is required for salt-fish products with the following statements:

"This product meets the requirements of the Fish Inspection Regulations" and "Product has maximum-percent humidity and minimum 20 percent salt calculated on a dry basis, is free of fungus infection, insects and there is no trace of Acarus infestation".

Certificate of Origin and Hygiene (FP 1404 (11/91)) is required for all other fish products.
