Acts and Regulations

Labelling: label must indicate:

- country of origin
- name and address of the manufacturer

Prior to exporting, exporters should contact:

Chief Controller of Imports and Exports,
Ministry of Commerce,
Udyog Bhavan,
New Delhi, India,

to establish if importing of the food product is allowed.

Tolerances or Guidelines

Mercury:    0.5 ppm for total mercury
Arsenic:    1.0 ppm
Lead:    5.0 ppm
Copper:    10.0 ppm
Zinc:    50.0 ppm
Tin:    250.0 ppm
