Business Access Canada (formerly Contracts Canada) is an inter-departmental initiative to improve supplier and buyer awareness and simplify access to federal government purchasing information. As part of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises, it ensures that Canadian suppliers know how to do business effectively with the federal government and acts as a focal point for inquiries from suppliers and buyers. Currently there are 31 participating departments and agencies.

Business Access Canada will simplify supplier registration services.
- First-stop for Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) registration.
- PWGSC and other departments and agencies will work together to develop a single government registration.
Historical Contract Information
Business Access Canada provides Internet access to historical purchasing data and statistics of the federal government's common service agency, PWGSC. This will be expanded to include data from other government departments.
