Canada's Investments in Global Health

Canada, through the   Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), is a leading donor to health funding in the developing world. Canada's commitments include support to global health partnerships and multilateral institutions such as

• the   Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria,
• the   Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisations,
• the Stop TB Partnership,
• the World Health Organisation,
• the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative,
• the International Partnership for Microbicides,
• the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and
• the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)

CIDA is also engaged in a number of large bilateral and regional programs in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and partnerships with national and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
