2006-11-02 - Microcomputers - The new UNIX/LINUX NMSO has been issued. A complete list of the new categories, products and prices will be published on the CAG November 1st, 2006, the date the NMSO becomes active. The existing UNIX NMSO will expire October 31, 2006.

2006-09-29 - Microcomputers - Microcomputers - IBM/Lenovo is voluntarily recalling and offering free replacements for certain notebook batteries that were sold for use with some models of their notebook computers. It is possible for these batteries to overheat, which could pose a risk of fire. Potentially affected batteries were sold with certain models or separately as secondary batteries. In addition, these batteries may have also been provided in response to service calls. The batteries were shipped to customers between February 2005 and September 2006. 2006-08-28 - Microcomputers - Microcomputers - Apple is voluntarily recalling and offering free replacements for certain notebook batteries that were sold for use with some models of Apple notebook computers. It is possible for these batteries to overheat, which could pose a risk of fire. Potentially affected batteries were sold with certain models of Apple notebook computers or separately as secondary batteries. In addition, these batteries may have also been provided in response to service calls. The batteries were shipped to customers between October 2003 and August, 2006. 2006-08-15 - Microcomputers - Microcomputers - Dell is voluntarily recalling and offering free replacements for certain notebook batteries that were sold for use with some models of Dell notebook computers. It is possible for these batteries to overheat, which could pose a risk of fire. Potentially affected batteries were sold with certain models of Dell notebook computers or separately as secondary batteries. In addition, these batteries may have also been provided in response to service calls. The batteries were shipped to customers between April 1, 2004 and July 18, 2006. 2006-07-07 - Microcomputers - Effective July 1, 2006, the GST/HST will be reduced by one percent. This change will be made to the CAG website Friday June 30th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. While we are making the changes to the GST rate, the users must be OFFLINE and not using the system to avoid loss of data or data corruption. Orders prepared using the on-line form after 5:00 p.m. will only have 6% GST applied.

2006-06-23 - Microcomputers - The Lowesr Evaluated Cost (LEC) in category 4.0N has be modified after Toshiba has temporarily removed their notebook pending substitution within 60 days.

2005-12-20 - Microcomputers - Dell is voluntarily recalling and offering free replacements for certain notebook batteries that were sold for use with some models of Dell notebook computers. It is possible for these batteries to overheat, which could pose a risk of fire. Potentially affected batteries were sold with certain models of Dell notebook computers or separately as secondary batteries. In addition, these batteries may have also been provided in response to service calls. The batteries were shipped to customers between October 5th, 2004 and October 13th, 2005. 2005-12-02 - Microcomputers - Hewlett-Packard has announced a worldwide voluntary recall and replacement program for the battery packs used in certain HP notebooks. NMSO customers affected by this program will be eligible to receive a replacement battery pack for each verified, affected, recalled battery pack at no cost. To verify if your notebook battery is subject to this recall, please visit HP's website at : http://bpr.hpordercenter.com/bpr/

2005-01-28 - Microcomputers - The new Notebook/PDA NMSO E60EJ-04000N/XXX is NOW published on CAG with new systems and full pricing details AND full Benchmarking details (NSTL site, RVD discounts and Evaluted Prices) and the Call-up Limitations. RVD's can be run, with the "Best Value" selection method. The Notebook/PDA NMSO E60EJ-020001/XXX is completely replaced by the new Notebook/PDA NMSO. As such, no Call-ups may be placed or accepted off the old Notebook/PDA NMSO after January 14, 2005. 2004-11-15 - Microcomputers - Dell is voluntarily recalling and offering free replacements for certain AC adapters that were sold for use with some models of Dell Latitude, Dell Precision and Dell Inspiron notebook computers (including the Latitude C610). It is possible for the adapters to overheat, which could pose a risk of fire or electrical shock. 2004-05-18 - SAN and NAS - The Baxter Group has reinstated its offer to provide goods and services under the Computer Acquisition Guide (CAG) and is accepting call-ups in the ordinary course.

2004-05-17 - Microcomputers - The Baxter Group has withdrawn its offer to provide goods (or services) under the Computer Acquisition Guide (CAG) both as an offerer and a reseller.

2004-05-17 - Microcomputers - "The Baxter Group has reinstated its offer to provide goods and services under the Computer Acquisition Guide (CAG) and is accepting call-ups in the ordinary course."

2004-05-05 - Microcomputers - There are no IBM Intel Servers available for purchase on CAG or NMSO until further notice.

2004-03-16 - Microcomputers - "Some vendors have been temporarily removed from the CAG. Until further notice, call-ups are not to be issued to these vendors."

2004-03-11 - Microcomputers - The Blade Servers benchmark reports and the Lowest Evaluated Costs (LEC's) are now posted on the NSTL site and the CAG.

2004-02-13 - Microcomputers - Full Benchmarking details (NSTL site) and the call-up limitations for the Blade Server NMSO/ E60EJ-03000S/XXX will be updated onto the CAG February 16th. As such, there will not be a $200K call up limitation until these are published and no RVD`s run that require the benchmarking scores.

2004-02-05 - Microcomputers - Please note that the new Desktop NMSO# E60EJ-03000D/XXX has been released and the Lowest Evaluated Cost (LEC) has been updated.

2004-02-05 - Microcomputers - The Blade Server NMSO/ E60EJ-03000S/XXX IS NOW published on CAG with new systems and full pricing details. Full Benchmarking details (NSTL site) and the call-up limitations will be updated onto the CAG at the end of the month. As such, there will not be a $200K call up limitation until these are published and no RVD`s run that require the benchmarking scores.

2004-01-28 - Microcomputers - THIS IS AN AMENDMENT to the Blade Server announcement dated 20-01-04. The Blade Server NMSO/ E60EJ-03000S/XXX will be published with new systems and full pricing details during the week of Monday January 26th.”

2004-01-20 - Microcomputers - The Desktop Microcomputer NMSO will be refreshed with new systems and pricing next week. Full pricing details will be posted on the CAG website Monday, January 12th, 2004 after 4pm. The old desktop NMSO #E60EJ-010002/XXX/EJ will be completely replaced by the new desktop NMSO # E60EJ-03000D/XXX/EJ at that time. As such, no call-ups may be placed or accepted off the old NMSO as of 4pm Monday afternoon. Full Benchmarking details (NSTL site) and the call-up limitations will be updated onto the CAG no later than Friday January 23rd, 2004. As such, there will not be a $100K call-up limitation for the first 2 weeks and no RVD's will be run that require the benchmarking scores.
