Government On-Line 130 services
Government On-Line services are defined as 130 of the most commonly used services that were targeted to be on-line by the end of the initiative. At the end of 2005, all 130 services were on-line, representing the efforts of 34 participating federal departments and agencies and collaboration with a number of provincial and territorial governments as well as a few municipal administrations.
The services range in scope from the simple provision of information to the full completion of complex interactions in real-time. These on-line service offerings persuaded 30% of the clients to use the electronic channel to complete their transactions with the Government of Canada. Continued preparatory work in anticipation of increasing on-line take-up will see that the satisfied clients of today are the satisfied clients of tomorrow.
